In the absence of gaffer tape, is there anything I can do to make duct tape less sticky and less likely to leave residue on the surface it's stuck to e.g. spraying a little bit of WD40/GT85 on the surface before applying etc?

Put on a pair of jeans, wrap the tape round your leg, unwrap.

Why? Does the thought that she might 'just' be able to scream or escape add to the thrill?

You got me. heheevil

Nah it's just for putting some down the side of my motorbike between the panniers/luggage to protect the paint, I'd rather not have to spend hours removing sticky residue even though it's probably a better outcome and rubbing/scratching the paint off.

Get a roll of that padded white double sided tape from Poundland, but don't take the second side off.

The padding will stop the panniers touching the frame, but the sticky bit will come away easily from the frame when you want it to if you soak it in white spirit.

Stick the tape on. WD40 will take of the residue when you peel it off.

Stick the tape on the panniers rather than the frame.

Have you heard of helicopter tape? https://www.selfadhesive.co.uk/shop-by-type/tape-t...

It's clear and designed to be erosion resistant.
