Pallet wood Weber grill table project on a budget
Discussion
Made a start today...
Spend so far (£66):
I need another piece of 3x2 to finish the bracing for the actual BBQ and then some decking boards. Probably 8 should do it.
We had a spare piece of granite so i've made space on top so I can put the starter on it.
The only issue I have is that it's going to be difficult to get it from the garage to the back garden as i forgot to take into account the soil pipe whilst thinking about access. It's likely that i'll move the frame into the garden then put the top on once it's in position

You need to keep building
I wanted to be able to cook in all weathers, made this from posts and scaffold boards.

The Smoke Shack looks amazing - is there a build thread for it?
Thanks Yep, towards the end of this...

Inspired by this thread, I decided to have a go. The weber in question was mine, but I gave it to my daughter when she bought her first house 4 years ago, I purchased it in 1992 from the US Air Force base Ramstein in Germany when I was serving in the RAF, I paid about £30 for it, it's survived 25 years and several house moves and been left outside in all weathers. Just looked and they are now £280!!!!
Daughter and husband have just bought a new house with a large garden and this fits in well. Hoping for an invite to a bbq soon.

Next time I'll probably make it slightly narrower in order to get it down the side of the house without issue!
Not quite a table, more of a Weber shelf.
I was going to go for a scaffold table with legs made from handrail tube and fittings; however, I decided to make something that could fold away when not in use and be totally removed in winter.
This shelf started life as 3 scaffold boards, gate hinges and some chain to hold a Weber 57.
Stainless fittings from eBay for the chains and elbow brackets that the kettle sits on as not to contact the wood.
And a spade hanger makes the perfect lid holder.
Folded flat or it can be slid off the hinges and stored in an outhouse over winter.

Any pictures of how people are actually supporting the bbq or protecting the wood if it’s sat straight on the wood?
I used stainless 'L' brackets, screwed under the table. The kettle locates on them in the lip. Make sure they are 10mm longer than your board/table width, the kettle lid overlaps by a few mm. I used 3 to avoid wobble.Zoom in can just make them out.
Nit of a thread bump for this, trying to come up with an idea for something but more modern looking, I can't think of doing anything other than making a top out of granite Otherwise, everything will look a bit "rustic".
Space for a Weber plus a worktop to put the uuni on and to prepare.

Just searched for 'granite' on the Weber Grill Table FB group.Space for a Weber plus a worktop to put the uuni on and to prepare.
A few out there.
