What to make from a spare alloy?
Discussion
I have a spare OZ Superlaggera alloy (17") for various reasons (sorry mods ). All I can think to do with it is make a coffee table. Any other suggestions? It's in very good condition other than having a crack in it.
Other current alternative is to just mount it on the wall.
Where's the council thread?

1. At enormous cost have a custom glass bowl made with waste aperture and mount to the wall as wash hand basin.
2. Use as the base of a bar stool...
3. Fill with concrete and neatly expose spokes and mount a parasol in it.
4. Again at enormous cost, have a hole made in a suitable wall, fit the alloy and glaze as a nice alloy window.
5. For added light, perhaps flush mount into the ceiling as a novelty light fitting.
6. Combine 4 & 5 as a roof light in the garage... install rotary fan within it too.
7. fit a worn tyre to it and with an afternoons welding, you might be able convert your wheelbarrow.

Wall mounted outdoors to wrap the hose pipe around?
I don't have any pics as it was pre digital age, but I did just this with an old 4 spoke Revolution Alloy many years back (when no one wanted RWD escort stuff)..
I used a discarded rear bearing from an old Mondeo which I affixed to a simple welded bracket that I then bolted to the wall - so it would turn and unravel like the hose reels you can buy from B&Q.
As far as I know, its still bolted to a house in Wiltshire.
