The paving is getting close to the stairs which is all you need at a pinch.

I'm on the train now to crack the whip.
But in reality you can not lay paving in the rain. I brought down a guy from East Yorkshire to start the paving as he is the best I know. He couldn't stay for all of it but gave a big push on the 1st day of paving.

The lads are all working through the weekend and I will be taking then out tomorrow night for beers in Grantham if any PH members want to join us you are very welcome.
We will be in the Wetherspoons from 8:30. Yes I will buy you A beer.

Its been a hard push but we are getting there now.
As a great man once said- Bloody he'll that was hard work.

Happy Birthday Francesca.

If your Dad was my Dad I think every day would feel like my birthday!

- Presumably she's seen the progress/pool? What has she said?!

Whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah, whoah.

Whoah.

Hold up, you're getting all these plaudits about how good a dad you are, and how lucky Francesca is, and in reality she's actually going to be getting her pool a week late? Mate, that's disgusting. She's going to be heartbroken now, you've let her down.

I hope you've bought her a pony and a ménage to make up for it. It's the least you can do.

Actually, you probably have, haven't you?

Enjoy the beers, hope you have a good night. I'm having enough trouble trying to get a 15m2 extension sorted out so Christ knows how you've managed to get this pool done so quickly! biggrin

I feel sorry for your daughters future husband.

"Babe, can you decorate the living room? By tonight. What do you mean no? My dad once built a swimming pool in 3 week, now get moving!"

Bloke starts thread on cellheads (pistons will be a thing of the past), everyone agrees that she's a Bunny boiler

What's the robot, if you don't mind sharing?
I'm in the market for one, for an indoor pool (currently narrowed down to Maytronics dolphin E20 or Hayward Tigershark if any of the pool guys has an opinion)

I'm a complete beginner in pool things but this thread has been great and confirmed a lot of the things I've learnt since buying a house with an indoor pool (and no instructions) in February. If you think outdoor pools are difficult to manage, indoor pools with dehumidifiers just adds a whole extra layer of cost and complexity!

I have the tiger shark, it is brilliant, the only thing I found was that I replaced the filters and they were quite expensive for what is really a simple part.

Have been following this thread from the beginning and am admiring your get up and go and the quality of the workmanship from LRdisco and his team.

Wish you well with the rest of the project and a very Happy Birthday to your daughter!

That's the one we're leaning towards. It has the longest cable (others look too short?) and can do everything we want, including waterline.
Do you have to leave the cover off the pool while the robot does it's stuff, or can it work while the cover is on?

Tomorrow's forecast is fine until 1 o'clock then rain until 8. Haven't you heard of split shifts? By all means take them to the pub but do so in the afternoon - then crack the whip.

Too much pussy footing round the workers these days.
