Hi Alun, cracking surname by the way (the same as my granny's!)
Which reminds me, since cancelling Sky (as we never used it) I need to find a way to watch the Rugby tomorrow!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, it was brilliant fun and, yes, the time scale was completely mad.
All pools are good pools IMHO. I think we both get the same amount of enjoyment regardless!
Cheers
Haha Cheers. I'm glad you mentioned the rugby, I hadn't realised it was on sky, had to beg borrow and steal an account to watch it haha. C'mon Wales ;-) Which reminds me, since cancelling Sky (as we never used it) I need to find a way to watch the Rugby tomorrow!

Spent the last 4/5 days reading the whole thread.
Blimey, what an epic.
A man with a plan (and a massive golden heart) with ambitious time line; a team who are ready, willing, able & capable; last minute help from various sources (the helicopter would have been awesome to get the pool in); jocular & jovial support from all contributors.
A simply stupendous project & thread, heart warming to see the joy it's brought
Carlsberg don't do forum threads, but if they did ........

The thread made the whole project great fun and all the brilliant people who have taken part in it deserve recognition for making this so great.
Cheers!

I thought I would post an update of another (though much smaller!) build project.
Yesterday we finally got round to starting the replacement for the worlds worst shed. It is bespoke build being done by a mate of mine (David) and is more than twice the size, giving a slightly bigger plant room together with a separate storage (cushions, etc.) room.
We are going to continue the frontage to hide the oil tank and are thinking about using this area to add a poolside bar.
Any suggestions always welcomed.
Here are the first pictures after day one:
It looks like the first set of photos will have to wait as I have tried on 3 separate devices and I just get the message "No image to upload" from thumbsnap, despite I have uploaded the photos).
This is particularly annoying given the shell is starting to be put into place.
Cheers.

Minor correction! As in everyone needs a mate called Dave. (I think this one started with the nazi bunker thread) Yesterday we finally got round to starting the replacement for the worlds worst shed. He does go by Dave by the way! I agree, everybody needs a Dave, even if they don't have a Nazi bunker! GR_TVR said:

Gin, whiskey, brandy, vodka, rum...Any suggestions always welcomed.
Is that enough to make a start?
My current thoughts are beer & Prosecco before lunch, some good red from the cellar during - and all the rest for after.
I may be aiming low though, perhaps some real life experiment is worth while?
Anyone up for this?!!!
