Love your project and your attitude cool
Thank you very much! We now have a bigger problem than we thought getting it into the garden, but have managed to get a crane coming straight out to us.

How long to heat it Julian?
No idea, could be a week to get it to temperature using the oil boiler and the solar cover and air source pump should then keep it at temperature until the colder months (September to July!) when we will use the oil heating again.

Was the crane planned, or simply an impromptu Plan B ?
A very impromptu plan B eek

Nick (Lrdisco) got it here within an hour of the truck not being able to make it! bow

The excavation suffered a bit today as the pool shell - then the impromptu crane - was stopping the trucks coming in and out for most of the afternoon. But this is how we ended...

...Not a bad first two and a half days!

Heated Evian water I hope Julian?
Veen (from Finland) is only £20 a bottle, so just over £100k - but more to heat it before delivery. wink

The only trouble is persuading them to take away the 20,000 empty bottles!

Seriously though, I am interested in the heated water - I love something new (to me) and that really is bonkers! shoot

When I said the pool shell was a 'stupid expense' I simply meant that someone else had ordered and specified the ultimate pool at great expense and then changed their instillation date. This meant I could have it now (at the same spec level) and the factory could re-build it with plenty of time.

I didn't order the spec, I just had to pay for it if I wanted it. This was the 'stupid expense'.

The crane within an hour was also quite eye watering!!!

I can't say that money is not an issue, but with this pool build the only consideration is my daughter. It is one of those "Daddy does what it takes" moments.

Nick (lrdisco) has managed everything and come up trumps with this. Riviera Pools (John) and Asher Swimming Pools in the UK (also John!) played a blinder.

Thanks everyone. Hardcore and concrete will be down tomorrow!

We still have a long way to go...!
