What will we all do when it is finished and the thread activity cools down?
We'll all be equally captivated by Julian's new but somewhat shorter thread 'How to teach your daughter to swim to Olympic standards in 5 days'

Glad it's going well again, you deserve it to for the effort you're putting in.
Funny you should say that, she got really fired up at the last Olympics....

Cheers!

Being uncouth Julian. How is the £100k budget fairing with the "extras" on top?

Still in that area, but on reflection, I might have been a tad optimistic... whistle

T'will be shuttering to pour the concrete between unless I'm mistaken. The area that fine looking gent is occupying will be filled with soil.

What happens if you have an issue with a pipe if you concrete them all in?

The bracing on the non stair part doesn't seem very substantial.

The pool maintenance firm I use told me that there is the swimming pool equivalent of 'radweld'.
I haven't so far needed to find out how well it works.

Amazing thread! Been following it from the start and it certainly delivers. Should the electricians not work out we work with a couple of good companies in the leicester area who can probably help. They travel nationally too, none of this one hour maximum nonsense!

Didn't think they would use plastic pipes (MuPVC) under the ground in case of damage. Surely a multicore pipe would be preferable (stronger and no need for fittings for bends, etc) or at least a HDPE one would be safer, as the last thing anyone wants is the need to be ripping up the patio areas for a £1 pipe fitting that has cracked/failed.

Looking good though.
