Picked up another picture for the wall when I was in b&q, only cost £10 and it fits in quite well.

Got this one for the other corner of the bar area, it’s a kind of 3D liquid art picture so should look good once I’ve sorted the uplighters.

Slight miscalculation in regards to the additional Bar lights but an easy fix as the wall is getting tiled/shelves/optics.

And finally for now a new toy added for the games area, for anyone that’s considered getting one of these I would highly recommend it, i was left quite speechless when I gave it a go. Awesome bit of kit!

Have wheel and VR (Oculus) but no play seat, I really want one but not sure I can justify it!
I’d really recommend it, i do a bit of circuit racing and with the vr headset on using the seat it’s as close as you’re going to get to the real thing, very impressive!

Seen the room is in a basement with no windows I thought I’d add something to give the impression that it does.

What am I looking at?

Is it a picture with a deep frame, or have you made a window reveal in the wall.

Looks nice!
Neither, it's just a 3d mural wallpaper!

I was quite sceptical as to how it would look to be honest but now it's up i'm quite happy with it and it's quite surprising how realistic it looks.

I'll get a picture up once all the furniture/pool table/etc is back in place.

The bar is still a work in progress, I've had a million other things to do so it's kind of been on the back burner of late.

Stan, is it the done thing to add pictures of your own cave for discussion?

Very nice Ferdi!

Looks like you had a great space to work with and you've done a really good job there, looks great and has all the boxes ticked IMO.

Cheers pal. My dream is to have some proper pumps, chiller etc. No idea where to start though.
It’s quite easy actually, have a look on YouTube, you can set one up with an old fridge, some lines, co2 canister and regulator and a tap pretty much. I’ll send you a step by step once I’ve done mine if you want.

I’ve been playing about with the lighting a bit to see if I can create a daytime/nighttime effect on the wall mural. Put an extra spur and required the order of the lights so now I have

Such a good effect. Is the res good on the mural close up? Looks amazing.
They’re amazing quality even up close, just got it off eBay for about £50 all in and fitted it myself.

Had almost forgotten about this thread and the actual room as I’ve been that busy with other stuff but thought I’d add an update to bring it up to date.

Added a dartboard
The plug socket under that dartboard concerns me!
You would need to be a pretty good (or bad) shot to get a dart in the live socket but don’t worry. That plug socket will be getting moved. The plan for that wall is to cover it with recycled wooden pallets, a bit like this here -

Thought I would post a small update here, been mega busy with work and my first kid being born but managed to use some of my paternity leave to get the bar pretty much finished, just a few small jobs to do to get it finished now.

Jobs still to be done -
Put the pallet wood up on the dart board wall, move that switch and fit a dart board light (led picture light)
Cabinet lights for the internal bar cabinets
Plumb in the bar taps for the beer kegs
Wire up the 4 atmos roof speakers
Few tiles to finish off and treat
Finish off the skirtings

His arrival has made the room even more relevant as a bit of a safe haven/getaway. hehe

As I had a bit of free time I set about sorting the dart board light and blanking off the double socket and adding a switch in its place, all relatively straight forward.

That’s me ready to give the bar tap and keg system a go, does anyone have any experience with this?

Plan is to run the pipes into the adjoining utility room into a fridge in there.
