Managed to get the projector contrast surround felt that someone advised me to get on another thread, it’s made a big difference!

Also had an official ‘open evening’ for all my friends complete with a flair bartender and a lot of drink! Everyone certainly had a good night! laugh

Next project is installing a fibre optic starlight ceiling in the false ceiling and I’ll be ordering a row of proper heated massage cinema chairs and making a slightly raised platform at the back of the room to put them on.

Was getting a bit fed up with the grotty looking firedoor and wasn’t sure what to do with it. Tried painting it but it just looked like a grotty painted firedoor so I got my wee cousin to sort me a vinyl image to put on it similar to the wall mural on the other wall.

Just in the process of putting it on so will report back as to whether it’s a winner or if it ends up in the bin.

The final result, not too bad I don’t think, certainly looks a lot better than it did.

Great work!

I've got a spare room upstairs that's used just to house my motorbike kit and xBox/oled.... thinking whether something similar to this might work but it seems it could look weird being on the first floor!

That looks superb.

I was also interested in a star ceiling but it looks either horrifically expensive to buy built, or hugely time heavy to DIY it, so haven't bothered yet hehe

There are some brilliant YouTube tutorials on how to DIY it though

Haven’t updated this for a while as I’ve been working on the rest of the house but I decided to get some better chairs for the cinema part of the room. Had a look at a load of expensive options but ended up going for 3 single recliners off eBay. Wasn’t sure what to expect quality wise so just ordered one to start with to see what they were like. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality so ordered the other two. The recline fully electronically and are heated with massage function. The plan is to build a slightly raised section at the back of the room to put them on.
