I’m going to be doing my front yard soon and I think with whacked hardcore and whacked sand there won’t be a lot of movement but I’m worried about the grout failing if there is.

Yours looks like it’s bedded on sand? How are you finding this?

Off-topic, but I don't suppose you've had Skoda Octavias in the past?

Yes I've just whacked in a load of type-1 equivalent, screed sand bed and sand joints. I was careful to tape up the joints between the sleepers with Duct Tape, but so far its been spot on. You can always mix some cement in with the sand, a 10:1 dry mix is all you need, and then it won't go anywhere.

I' ve got a 1:80 fall roughly from back to front, something in the region of 12.5mm per metre. But yes, with sand joints some water will percolate through anyway.
