Hi all - are there any tilers on board pls?

Please would you be able to advise me of a rough quote for the following work:

Bathroom 1
Tiling of bathroom 2.2m l x 2m w x 2.5m h
All walls and floor
Fitting of 4m2 Devimat ufh
Tiles are 60cm x 45cm porcelain on wall and floors
All tiles & adhesives & ufh provided - just beading/edging needed

Bathroom 2
Tiling of en-suite bathroom 2m l x 1.5m w x 2.5m h
All walls & floor
Fitting of Devimat ufh
All tiles & adhesives & ufh provided - just beading/edging needed

We're located near ashby de la zouch so if anyone wants to formally quote give me a shout but the key thing for me is to get a budget price

Thanks G

Your floors will need some work before tiling. One option would be to overboard with 6mm no more ply glued and screwed to the floor boards, heat mat on top then a latex levelling compound. Prime with acrylic and then tile. Most tilers prefer to supply their own adhesives and grouts as they know what works and what they feel comfortable using.

An alternative if you haven't already bought the UFH would be to use something like Ditra-Heat. A decoupling matt that you can lay loose cable in. This would remove the need for the no more ply stage.

I'd also recommend you tank any wet areas prior to tiling (shower enclosure, around bath etc with something like this.

With regards to the tiling expect to pay between £25-£35m2 inclusive of adhesive and grout.

To apply the tanking and prep the floor with one of the above options allow a days money (£150?) for each room.

Well worth making sure your tiler is using a tile levelling system too. Makes for a far crisper job on larger format tiles.
