Dyson hoover attachments
Discussion
Hi,
I've made a numpty mistake and am looking for a solution.
I am trying to buy a hoover head for a Dyson DC08T (the 'T' is important) hoover. It has a telescopic 'wand'. I purchased one of these;
And it doesn't fit. The male part of the tool is too big to fit into the female end of the wand (fnarr fnarr*). Here's a picture of the old part (dark grey) and the new part (pale grey and yellow). Yes, I have removed the end of the old tool to see whether it can be fitted to the new tool and it can't.

Is there any adaptor I can buy to make this all work? Or some other solution?
(The obvious solution is to return the wrongly-ordered part. However the company on Amazon who sold it to me is based in the Netherlands and will need it to be returned to there, and the cost of the posting back and forward is something I'd like to avoid.)
If anyone can offer any help then I'd be grateful - thanks.
-* - Well this wouldn't be PH without a bit of double-entrendre, eh?

Alternatively get it serviced by Dyson and they will replace broken parts.

Worsy,
Thanks. I have the wrong head. The head you posted a link to is correct but is there an adaptor to make the wrong head fit the hoover I have (i.e. solve my problem)? Buying the right part is easy but it will be expensive to send the wrong part back, which is what I am trying to avoid.

If the reason for needing a new head is because the brushes have stopped turning in the old one, it will probably because the impellor (which is made of the cheapest most prattle plastic you can imagine and must cost about 0.2p to make, but can't be bought on its own) is broken, in which case the new head will almost certainly have the same impellor which can be swapped over. Alternatively if the whole things still in warranty they'll replace the whole head and you can just sell the other one on e-bay
