I've removed all remnants of the current central heating pipework in a flat I'm converting as it was all visible and some radiator positions have to change.

I need some ideas of where to site radiators in the main space and also how/where to run the pipework to them all.

Someone will then fit a new combi boiler.

Joists run across the width of the flat throughout and I am easily able to lift floorboards since all covering are to be replace.

Any ideas?

All internal walls are stud walls and floor is floorboards on joists.

Under WIndows so you do not lose another piece of wall space.

I would do, but other stuff is going there like worktop/desks. It's not going to be residential.

In one of our houses the rads were on similar walls to your plan even with Double glazing there was endless condensation. till I moved all Rads to below windows.
but as you say you have plans for those areas.

Do you have to fit rads? Underfloor heating not an option?

I'm more interested in how to run the pipes now as radiator positions are pretty fixed. No chance of UHF.

If you're not putting rads under windows I'd be more inclined to use the dead space behind the doors where you can't put furniture.

More than cheap radiators, cheaper than underfloor. I had it in my last place. And if I had the same dilemma as the OP I’d be all over it for a small flat. Frees up the walls perfectly and won’t look like a dog’s dinner like radiators behind doors will.

Double at the top of the stairs? Not sure if that's the left or right hand side of the drawing?

If you're using Hep or Speedfit I'd do the tails to the rads in copper. As well as floor to boiler.

Really? I thought it would be mega bucks! Is there enough heat output for a house?

It’s not witchcraft! It’s just a long thin radiator. Depending on the profile you buy it can give out equivalent or more heat than standard radiators.
