Hmmm, i think the conclusion here, is no one has a battery operated one and subjects it to serious use and is happy frown

Looks like another petrol one for me.

I guess we need to wait another couple of years before they are truly viable.

There are also gas-powered leaf blowers available in these days. You can check Husqvarna – 965877502, this model is lightweight and comes with speed of 7,500 rpm. If you are into a backpack leaf blower then you should check this out.

Found a good list here: http://www.reviewwind.com/best-backpack-leaf-blowe...

Err, isn’t that just gas as in an Americanism for Petrol?

I'd be interested also regarding battery leaf blowers.

I bought a Draper leaf blower/vac for £35 on sale via Amazon. It has actually been pretty decent but the cord is a little annoying and an additional 25m extension only gets it just over half way up the garden. This is fine for our silver birch tree leaves (they are a bugger to pick up with a rake). Nextdoor's oak tree is dropping a lot of leaves on the top part of the garden and although easier to rake, a blower/vac may come in handy.

A cheaper solution would just be to buy another extension cord!
