That cave looks,error,lovely!
I dread to think what the leccy bill will be, and not being able to turn off the waterfall would be a PITA
And described as being in a "living cave", is that like the giant space worm that almost ate the Millennium Falcon in Empire?

Imagine having to rewire it or run some extra plumbing..

Plus, I imagine this picture was taken when the 'flooding' in this room was at its best..but there is still a puddle and damp patches on show!

ETA: Having looked at more pictures i see that puddles are everywhere in that place, even in the living room..

A quick run-down of my opinions, because I know everyone will care...

Boathouse: - Yes please, although will need re-decorating, and I'm concerned about the ceiling height.

New-build Stately Home: - There are so many old ones with history needing care, I fail to see why we need another new one.

Old, overgrown manor: - It's a money pit, sure, but I do quite like it. Sad story about the previous owner.

My offering, back in the Dartmouth area, although it has a bit of a summer island villa feel about it:

Great news too:

"Additionally, there are plans in place for the construction of a swimming pool in the gardens."

They must be colour blind.

I thought "at least they'll take all that junk with them", and then I saw the kitchen.

I know, but to be honest if you're dropping £1.6m + Tax on a new pad, you can probably afford new tiles and worktops!

hehe

You’ll need a pressure washer to remove the chalk outline on the patio to the right hand side.

You're doing well to look beyond "The Sandals" décor. The worktops I could live with, the tiles though non!!!!!

I much prefer the tiles over the worktop. At least they're a vaguely seasideish colour

What that lair really needs is:

1. Opening ceiling, through the rock
2. A monorail and
3. Henchpeople in single-coloured uniforms

Incredible! Would make for an amazing rental / holiday let. Can't imagine someone actually living there full time though.

Nice house, but:
- On Main Road, opposite the junction with Devon Road and next to the top of Sandhills Road. The house is situated below the road, it's a bus route and it's where virtually all traffic leaving Salcombe passes. It won't be peaceful.
- It's a long walk down the hill to North Sands, and a bit of a trek down Devon Road into town.

Nitpicking, I know - but I'd prefer something at the bottom of Sandhills Road for the shorter walk down to the beach and flatter walk along Cliff Road into town.

Picking of the nits continues - slightly strange having a fireplace in a hallway, and the kitchen is oddly cramped into a corner by the obligatory island. Oh, and I just have a thing about arches.

...but the situation & outlook's lovely, for sure, so I could probably make do smile

I'd do the same to mine, and I did the ground-up refurb. plan with the architect!
