A more niche method of fking up a nice old house. Looks like a 1990s Best Western inside. Most saddening. Probably cost a fortune to do all that too.

Bonus Greek lyre stencilled on the bog seat.

Been on for yonks, has had a few price cuts along the way. Now £1.7M.

Location may be a little too Gatwicky for some.

Not horrendous when landing but when taking off East, aircraft noise in Copthorne is seriously loud.

Shame. If noise weren't bad, I'd be on that like a dog eating hot mince. Easy to sort out the interior - you should have seen our place when we bought it.

Probably worth about the same as our house in SW2, but a tonne more convenient for flights to Geneva, and the mountains of France. And I like West Sussex.

But Lady F won't let us move out of London, so all a bit moot.

Just goes to show that some people shouldn’t be allowed to buy a period property. vomit

Here's a good example of absolutely ruining updating a harmless Grade II house to make it look like a Malmaison hotel. I can just imagine the slimeball flipping burgers on the massive grill, gold Rolex Daytona glinting in the sun.

I wouldn't be surprised to discover they paid a Larry Larry-Bowen to do that interior. *shudder*

Husband of a colleague of mine has had an offer accepted to buy this:

Has potential to be properly epic.

Has potential to bankrupt.

It looks very leaky as the interior photos prove.

But it should be ok, it doesn't rain much in Scotland.

Pretty sure that was on Grand Designs, took them 7 years to renovate.

Edit to say it's not!

Apologies if been on already. Apparently James Martin's place - kitchen looks nothing like his 'home kitchen' on the telly.
