Not for me, (even if I could afford it!) and not keen on the area but this is interesting.

Having been away for a couple of weeks, I spotted that on my usual Rightmove trawl but checked back to see if anyone had posted it. You didn't get the attention this deserves!http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...
Fortunately that's the original spiral staircase as a feature and no longer needs to be used.
Nice views from the top. I went round this back in 2009 when it was up for auction from Severn Trent; it sold for about £300k, I believe, and the buyer spent a while obtaining planning consent to convert it into residential accommodation before then hawking it around with planning for ~£400k. I suspect it didn't sell and it's the same chap who has ended up converting it.
It's big, and clearly has scope for further conversion because the old tank room hasn't been done yet. But it's on a plot not much bigger than the tower's footprint and has a narrow access road from Cromwell Lane (at least it's not properly shared, though I think there are pedestrian rights into the grounds for some of the neighbours). Overall, it may be unique but I don't think it's worth the price. Looks like the seller is trying to recover the costs of purchase, holding for 9 years, getting planning and the conversion which will not have been cheap.
Ian Botham is selling up down the road from me £2.3m

Lots of converted outbuildings (his extended family live there too):

Apologies if this has been posted before, I lost track in vol 2 and have only just realised vol 3 exists - needs lots of work but a lovely lump of stone for £300k
