£10,700,000.00 My dream home. Very close to me and in a dream estate too. Stunning! Maybe one day

SGH isnt very nice. It seems it from the outside looking in but its tightly packed, very little real security, expensive estate charges, way too much building work and a glut of McMansions.

This is my fathers home back in Turkey. Beautiful views as it’s right next to an inactive volcano and purged on top of a hill. These pics were taken when it was close to completion.

fair enough. It is absolutely not what i would want but i respect his choices!
My fathers a very old school thinker, he won’t listen to anyone else. We advised him to make it smaller, but he went ahead with it anyway. Hahaha he loves it so I can’t really say much.

I bought some land a few years back opposite him, so I’m planning on having one built too in the near future hopefully. It’s a good getaway from the life in big towns/cities etc. Gives the kids a good workout being in an old village with plenty of animals about and beautiful fresh oxygen.

Each to their own and all that but to me that is quite repulsive!

Maybe it’s me and maybe I’ve been watching too much Wolf of wall street but I like the thought of waking up weekends with a glass of orange juice fully nude on the balcony! Hahaha

Absolutely fine furnishings for a new build. Maybe a few too many rugs, a few too many cushions but hardly insane. But then again, these aren't normal new build people. They have books.

Not far from me. Would need a re-work in a few of the rooms (kitchen, diner, bathrooms) but more or less what i'd want if i was to hit the big time in the city & still have to commute in.

Then there's this - the Euro Millions win purchase. I think a BRG DB4GT & an E-type would look perfectly in place here.

I am led to believe that sealed bids are now in and being considered...

I am quite looking forward to seeing what happens next. I cycled past it again today - it really is a smashing building.

That would make for a smashing 5 star Hotel Spa. Im unsure on the area tho, as its very far from me. Do you happen to know where its listed? Thank you

It’s a truly dreadful mish-mash of architectural influences and styles.

I too bimbled past it the other day. Lovely place with so much potential. Intrigued to hear who buys it and what their plans will be.

Couple of money pit doer-uppers I've just seen.

Dougill Hall, Yorkshire, £850,000 - https://countrylife.onthemarket.com/details/407177...

Rumleigh House, Devon, £750,000 - https://countrylife.onthemarket.com/details/446397...

Both have brochures, Rumleigh has an epic greenhouse.

Lovely, especially Dougill Hall, but one would need particularly deep pockets to own either of those.
