Tempted by the Yorkshire one. I suspect it is a bit of a horror show inside though. And if they ran out of money on the first fix, they probably did it ona shoestring.

Could be quite special. Some earning potential with the cottage and stables.

£10,700,000.00 My dream home. Very close to me and in a dream estate too. Stunning! Maybe one day
Each to their own and all that but to me that is quite repulsive!
Maybe you don’t spend 2 hours every morning styling your sweepover, or keep little Mexican children in cages. But clearly some people do and you should respect that. wink

The mega millions jackpot here is up to about $500 million.

I could be tempted with this little place

Description : ''I must have privacy, seclusion and safety. Above all, those are the three amenities that are the most important to me and my family.''

So i want to buy a massive house on its own island that needs a crew of staff so i never get and privacy or seclusion..

It's not unmanageably big. Only 5 bedrooms.

rofl
I presume you mean the detached boathouse...as opposed to the boathouse under the main residence. Adjacent to the wine cellar and shooting range?

Oh, I’d have a lot of fun! smile

I believe it started at $60 mil - the most expensive property in Montana.

Rumleigh House, Devon, £750,000 - https://countrylife.onthemarket.com/details/446397...
Listed and needs all sorts of work. The pictures aren't exactly high res and you can still see nasties like the cracks, major roof leaks, lots of damp and floors absolutely full of woodworm. So the structural timbers are probably ruined too.

Not the end of the world but being listed doesn't help given how much needs rebuilding.

Not a looker either but the view is nice and it's a reasonable size property and site.

Have to say I'm struggling to see much merit in that building. Reading the actual listing give the impression of a rather enthusiastic official finding any and every piece of heritage.

"This house is interesting for its unusual plan wth the higher quality features on
the first floor in the principal rooms, perhaps imitating the grander houses of the
period, but more likely reflecting the special requirements of the owner. The
relatively early use of brick in Devon is also notable."

Looks like most of the grounds were split off too.

In this sale you can get the house and a reasonable chunk of the grounds via another lot but most of it seems to have gone. Including the bit right next to the house.

You do get to buy a really long driveway but I think other people will be using it for access to the former grounds.

Neither of which are at all spectacular. Better than just looking at other buildings of course but hardly a majestic vista!
