Cant understand the function of the 'blue room' in pic 17.... any ideas?
Pool changing / laundry room - used towel receptacle - I think it is the utility room on the floor plan. Silly to have to go through the wine store though...

The main property was designed by the architect Guido Sartirana with classic hints, and was built at the end of the 19th century as requested by the current owner.

Lovely location. Too poncey inside.
I like it, classical Italian.

A change from shades of grey, home cinema, home gym and no curtains.

That's not how the interior of that place will ever be though is it.

Ceiling murals and frescos etc are not my bag.

This says it is fully customisable so presumably one could tone the decor down a notch or two!

That lovely Italian one-I love the way the agents casually mention, as an afterthought, "Oh, and its got a small castle in the grounds"!

Another one where they are hiding a pretty significant problem... https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...
the now defunct 'family fun park' next door? I'd guess they didn't have much trade before it was closed down, even less now....
I may be misreading this but the floorplan and the phrase 'semi-detached' in the description would seem to indicate that the single-storey bit on the left is actually someone else's house.

Nope, I don't know how you worked that out. the double doors are the kitchen, clearly on the floorplan.

Sorry, quite right, I was confused by the floorplan artist's failure to include all the front windows. That ramps up its appeal somewhat. I wonder why they're calling it semi-detached though?

No pictures of the inside of the house, but some pretty nice drone shots, essentially it's another plot...

I like the location, I think.

Because it is semi-detached, have a look at the map and zoom in, there's more to the left beyond the kitchen. The house is the bottom right corner, the next roof along is the kitchen, then the rest connected to that.

No idea either, but I'm guessing twice that.

It's a bit chintzy inside, and will look odd without the furniture that is in there, but to be honest, so do most places, so it shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I'm always a bit nervous when close to a church, the bells in our local one play a tune every 4 hours, which is fine at 8am, but less fun at midnight and 4am.

It also looks a bit low for me, (I'm tall.) Nice place though. Very nice.

And in a lovely location. Close to Castle Howard and within easy travel distance of York, the Dales, the coast and North York Moors.

I always say that when I retire and don't need good access to road, rail and air we're moving to either Ryedale or the Howardian Hills - lovely part of the County.
