Picking of the nits continues - slightly strange having a fireplace in a hallway, and the kitchen is oddly cramped into a corner by the obligatory island. Oh, and I just have a thing about arches.

...but the situation & outlook's lovely, for sure, so I could probably make do smile
House looks lovely, but the interior @ fittings are an utter car crash. These are not nits, but crimes against taste:

Wardrobe in the bathroom (stinky)
Kitchen worktops thin enough to cut cheese
Arches from the 70's chairs out the 80's can F right off
Rattan dining set (in fact rattan, rattan everywhere)
W*nking window into the bathroom from bedroom
The pool looks likes a squished peanut (if you are asking 3.25m, you can at least straighten it up)
Gates and glass balustrades out of keeping with house
3.25mil and only 11 pictures? I can assume the rest must be truly, truly dire

Needs 500k to bring it up to scratch and become befitting of its situation.

£899,000
It may need a bit of a tidy up and is probably a bugger to keep warm. Grass needs cutting, 7 acres, 2 more houses in the grounds. Must be haunted.
From the particulars:
We have been advised of the following:
  • A previous occupier has died at the property. Please contact the office to discuss this further.

What would you be discussing? Whether you want to include the corpse in the sale?

They've just reduced it by one million.

The mysteriously, 'hidden in the photos', monstrous '70s carbuncle tacked on the side doesn't help.

I’d not clocked that side building before. I’d rather have this I think and I’d not have far for the removal men to drive as it isn’t far from me at all:

Drive looks like a challenging hillclimb!

Also has a "bit on the side" not shown in photos - in this case with about 20-odd extra bedrooms!

I love this, it seems really nicely done inside too. Possibly not to everyone's taste, obvs. It even has a turning circle...

I like it, but...

I know having a sex-pond is frowned upon, but does having two make it twice as bad, or do they net off against each other?

Wonder how difficult it would be to run that as airbnb and have the main one for yourself? Then create the other 5 dwellings too.

Either that or have 2 of the dwellings for the In-laws for old age.

I don't think you are buying a house like this, It's more a case of taking on the massive responsibilities from somebody else.

It is a nice house though.

Upkeep will make you wince.

Not quite porn in its own right, but very pleasant.

Former home of DH Lawrence and later Michael Morpurgo outside St Ives makes it rather interesting.
