I quite like that interior. They seem to have managed to blend some nice workmanship, a slightly unusual pop arty sort of theme and a delicate sprinkling of Biggins to deliver an interesting style.

It may need a bit of a tidy up and is probably a bugger to keep warm. Grass needs cutting, 7 acres, 2 more houses in the grounds. Must be haunted.
An offer for £700k has been made apparently.

It's close to where my mum's godmother used to live in a little chocolate box cottage and near the lovely Cliffe Castle but unfortunately the surrounding area isn't what it once was nor is the town itself.
I used to live about 100 yards away from this place. It's very private but was used as a school for learning difficulties kids through the 70's to the mid 90's then was near abandoned for more than a dozen years. The Arts and Crafts gradens were plundered for their ornate stonework by a previous gardener and multitudes of leaks and bizarre modifications inside the house to facilitate its use as a school. I though it had been last sold to a developer who wanted to turn it into apartments.

What went on there then?

He was a fantasist who bullshat his way through life and eventually threw himself off the roof.

Oh, sorry. I meant to say "It's been mentioned at least three times on this very thread."

If anyone knows DonkeyApple personally, can they please tell him his account has been hacked?

I'm 99% sure I've seen that interior on a either a DVD or LP gatefold cover - it wasn't a recording studio in the past was it?

biggrin

I think the key here is that the decor is more Kenneth Queen of Scots rather than Barry Prince of Dwells.

If at work, don't search as very NSFW, but a reverse image of the building threw up the inner cover flaps (pardon the pun) of the "Art" movie "Highland Fling 2" so I suspect at some-point a movie mogul owned the place or it was rented out for "art" movies. Given the heritage I'd pay an extra £100 over asking price to live there!!!!!!.

Could well be music industry. It seems to have a walk in safe for the storing of one’s exquisite Filipino house boys.

Sure, some of the decor over the top, but in the main relatively easily undone.
