^ They are having a laugh with the price, surely? Ok it is big, but just north of Swindon is hardly the Everglades. Can you imagine how cold that could be in late January with a breeze coming across the almost frozen water?
Limited market - English water-skiing multi-millionaires? Perhaps I'm out of touch...

I remember pp being granted for this estate some years ago. Apparently very popular with the Kensington & Chelsea set seeking a bolthole for the weekend dahling....

That would have been ace this summer, imagine a stinking hot day and jumping in that lake. I agree price a bit rich but if it came down a million it would be on my Euro Millions list.

I like it, but I must agree with the rest of the comments. The neighbours would be rubbish, and the water will be a bit yucky.

I spent my summers at Uni working at a summer camp about 15 mins from Wolfeboro in New Hampshire. It is about 2 hours north of Boston, an easy drive. This is very much more up my street, although the interior decor isn't spot on:

The lake will freeze enough to drive a truck on most winters, the water is warm enough to swim in every summer, sometimes bath-like.

It even has a proper garage:

Note to self: Satellite View.
Correct - price looked too good to be true

When I see that water all I can think of are these and the associated noise

Holy cow that's awesome! I have a couple of issues though, firstly the listing states 2 funiculars yet the pictures only appear to show one. And at $75m dollars I'd expect the agents to provide a floor plan. I need to know how the funicular(s) integrate with the two buildings before I can decide if I make an offer.

Oh yes! That's worth almost all of the preposterous asking price on it's own!

^ That house isn't to my taste, but I do like the in-flight bald eagle shot. Wonder if it is genuine or superimposed?
