Not sure if this has featured before? It was owned by a close friends Dad, I've been there many times.

It is a flood risk mind, and it has been got before.

Walked past it a few times, and always had a bit of a nosy into the garden. (Handy being tall.)

I'm divided. But erring towards liking it.

The flood risk worries me, it's a fair drop to the river though...
I think in the time that Nige was there they were only gotten once. Are you local? I'm from Southwell.

That river banking is tall and the fields opposite much lower so if it floods it might just be a once a century type of flood.

The red dot by the T in Fiskerton is the site of the property, but as I say, I only recall them being flooded once

Grew up in North Muskham, just outside Newark.

Now based near Exeter in Devon, but know the area a bit, and still go back to visit the old man now and again...

That media centre, or whatever it's called, needs to be ripped out.

Also, can get a bit floody around York, so would need to be careful in that respect.

Yes, I remember now. I know there are a handful of regular PH'ers from around the Well and the vicinity (that I know of) it's just who I forget!

How about this?

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

We viewed it recently - the house is super (maybe a little small for this thread!) but all the garden/grounds are on a surprisingly steep slope.

I like that. I used to live in Fownhope for a while a long time ago, down by the river. Lovely area.

Huge! There's going to be a reason that all the interior photos are of the same room... (apart from the conservatory)

Also, incredibly close to neighbours, which is quite strange for a house that size.

I thought the same thing about the limited interior shots, but what we see is very nicely done.

Blimey! The bridge over the stream looks a lot more impressive (and familiar) in that shot wink

Maybe I should actually read descriptions instead of just skimming the pictures because I didnt even notice anything about self contained flats or B&Bs laugh Id strip that straight out and open up some of the rooms to a more open-plan, make the most of all those lovely big windows

Just walked past this one. Grand, cheap (in absolute terms), but not as usable as might be imagined, perhaps.
