Maybe I should actually read descriptions instead of just skimming the pictures because I didnt even notice anything about self contained flats or B&B
The B&B is next door. The description refers to a "self contained 3 bedroom guest suite" and the floorplan reveals the "former kitchen".

But the big clue was the phrase "huge potential" which often equates to "unfinished moneypit"!

Just walked past this one. Grand, cheap (in absolute terms), but not as usable as might be imagined, perhaps.

It's in Spalding... Each to their own etc, but I'd rather live in Kabul.

hehe Trouble is, there are some seriously elegant buildings in Spalding that would be at least double, perhaps more in Stamford. It used to be a place, as it were.

The sad thing is, there are even worse places not that far away.......

I relocated from London to Peterborough >20 yers ago and wasted many a weekend trawling round these places that the estate agents sent me. They look great on paper, but you've already eliminated them before stepping over the threshold.

After a good rant at one of the agents he told me city centre - Oundle & Stamford - draw a triangle and stay inside it, So I asked why they had sent me all these other properties - the answer was the the only chance they had of selling them was to someone who didn't know the area

I've watched this being built for some time now. Not been finished long.

It seems to have been built specifically to attract a footballer who doesn't care that its too big for the plot and the colours and finishes are glaringly at odds with the area.

Its property prawn in the sense that some prawn stars are not the most stylish, but look good in parts.

Well, I suspect it's been 'developed' by so some who has moved in before selling on very quickly!

Whether people are still buying that look, only time will tell. I find it blizzare that consent was granted for something so overbearing on a corner plot.

^ Yeah, that.

Also, WTF is the golf buggy going to be used for? It's not like you need it to get around the grounds.

That many chairs in the kitchen would do my head in. Would drive me mad, squeezing around them all the time.

I'd have a separate table further down the room.

Can't stand that poxy little eyesore of a diving board either.

But to be honest these are the least of that places problems.

Jesus, but that's grim. There is not one thing that I like about that...

And so glaringly at odds with the rest of the homes in the neighbourhood..

It backs onto what looks like common land, must be a plus.

I'd be quite annoyed if I lived next door to that monstrosity. It's the scale as much as the style that is out of place.

Maybe it's just me I couldn't live with being so overlooked. You accept it as inevitable with cheaper properties but it would rule out anything at this presumed price level. It badly compromises what could otherwise be a pleasant outside space.

Something to do with the golf course across the other side of the village perhaps?

Yeah, but I'd want to turn up at the golf course in Bentagaya, wouldn't I?
