Spent my youth thrashing up and down the road to beer with my cousins boyfriend in an astra GTE. Nice gaff.

And why would you have a kitchen in your pool room?
Why have an swimming pool at all, in an urban setting where there must be a myriad of David Lloyd clubs and the like to do it properly?

The answer has to be, for the kids and their friends. You don't have to take them, worry about veruccas and all that. And then the window into the kitchen makes quite a lot of sense.

I grew up in Seaton ... having been born in Beer just up the road. If that house is the one I think it is then my grandad built the house next door.
I am going to see my mum on Saturday... she still lives in seaton....... I will have a look.

A lot of old people in a Seaton though. A lot!

All the TV's are too high up the wall for me, so it's a no.

Nice car turntable in the basement garage though....

Not for me. The bowling alley is far too claustrophobic...
How bad is your bowling? At least here you can't put the ball in the wrong lane!

Thing is that if you enjoy swimming. Or perhaps train for events. A 15M pool is a ball ache. What you really want is a full Olympic 50M jobby. But that takes up considerably more room. I wonder if any Olympic swimmers (Phelps?) have their own full size pool. Or whether they just go with an "endless pool" Which will fit in a normal size garage.

Out of curiosity I contacted the estate agent to find out how much they wanted for the Old Dairy Farm, offers in excess of £10 millionyikes Which is just plain silly.

At the end of the day the house is in Kent, yes it is close to the Surrey boarders but it’s still Kent. No offence to those living in Kent by the way, but it’s not Surrey when it comes to house prices. Plus it’s nearly three times more than any other house in the area.

Personally I absolutely love the house but even if I was mega rich I don’t think I could not justify the purchase at that price

I live near here and looking to move. From the houses I’ve seen this house is probably worth around £2m with a couple of acres of gardens. However this has 50 acres. Land goes for £10k-£15k an acre so they are still way way out asking that much.

Unless you have a period house with period features then it's a waste.

Interesting you say that, I would move into that and live in it as-is, in fact I really like the interior (perhaps the study might need a repaint but aside from that I'd leave it alone.)

And the layout is abysmal. Looks like it's laid out for 3 couples sharing which limits the market somewhat (to swingers and cults?).

I thought no one was living there until photo 14, great photos of the wardrobes. I always wondered where to put my clothes and shoes.

The cornice proportions are way way over the top!

Even in grand hotels I've never seen an egg & dart detail that big!
