I'd just stick a couch downstairs and sleep on that.

Much to like in the spec, but I don't like it I'm afraid.

I'm on the fence about this one:

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

The outside definitely needs a lick of paint, but 11 acres and lots of outbuildings leaves plenty of scope.

Looks like a power station.

The outbuilding has more character than the house.

There's some potential there though.

Googled Barlborough, and a veritable ice-age descended chez nous.
Barlborough is about 10 minutes drive from us. It's not an aspiring area, yet nothing fundamentally wrong with it. Around half of it is industrial estate, offices and garden centres and the like, and other than that few amenities. If we were house shopping at that money we'd view it.

As mentioned, near to the proposed HS2 link, and literally 2 minutes from M1 J30.

The less than 500m to the M1 would put me off most I think.

It wasn’t the word Barlborough that put her off, it was when she realised where Barlborough was, she firmly believes that anywhere north of Highgate should be marked on a map as, Here be dragons eek

not sure if this one belongs in here or not. Huge, overpriced (£10m in Nottingham?!) and far too many hard floors downstairs/bling decor. Also complete with more daft wine bottle holders!

I like some of it, and it would be great to have a couple of cars in the 'showroom' under the pond. Garage definitely not big enough for a house of this size however.

For £10m that's overpriced for everywhere in the UK except central London.

Would fit in on St George’s Hill or Wentworth.

Nottingham though?!

Boxed wines, that's where the real money is these days.

Easier to stack and store too.
I had a very bad experience with Boxed wine bought from Super U at Le Mans one year.

As the commute to Derby is quite short, I wonder if Coleen will be buying that...

hehe

BTW I think it is awful and overpriced, but I am not orange so it doesn't matter.

Grounds are nice but the house....

Looks like they were going for a posh ski chalet look but realllly didn’t have enough money to pull it off hehe
Wrong thread; it’s dire.

That house would sort of make sense in LA, but Nottingham??? A tad incongruous

I don't think it's that bad. I mean, I don't like the stone cladding; I don't like the pebbledash; I don't like the windows; and I don't like the decor. But other than that It's not bad. I think it has potential, but not at £1.9M.

I like the outside. But I cant stand that style of staircase. Just looks pretentious.

As above, bit pricey though!

Well, it's in the E. Midlands, not the north, just. I do get you though. Some Londoners I know, anything north of Milton Keynes is 'ooop north'
