A cool £5million, rather like it though, although I'd be petrified of dropping into the sea after a couple of bottles of shandy!

That's quite spendid.
I'd have that In a heartbeat. Absolutely *love* it.

Easily in my top 5 of this thread.
I like it, but I think I'd prefer either of the next-door neighbours with the more conventional boat storage solutions. I can't see how you could use it for anything more than single person canoes, if you have to carry them up and down the steps.

It says there is lifting gear, and one of the pictures shows a RIB in the boathouse.

Definitely. I wouldn't pay for that particular view though. I'd like that house in the far north west of Scotland for £2m please.

I hear you, but I'm not at the point in my life where I'd want that kinda of isolation.

Apropos of nothing but in far NW Scotland, it would be considerably less than £2m, I'd imagine!

I suspect with all the discussion of what constitutes a terraced house (or not), this lovely place was overlooked when I posted it earlier.

Well under £2m and you don't even need to go as far as the the NW of Scotland !

Lovely house and location, but still not £5m “worth” for me

After recently returning from staying with my mate in Guernsey I was just curious what a multi millionaire could buy on the open market over there.

My mate has just moved into a very nice house and it was less than a 10th of this one.

IMO it is stunning

Not up there in the millions budget, but I should be completing on this on Friday.

The courtyard sold it to us, nice Mediterranean feel. Fully converted basement too, which is going to be handy. Finally got a garage again, the Alfa is coming home and out of storage.... thats winning, right? hehe

Its quite an unusual looking building, but its sort of explained by the fact it was originally the personal house of a chap called Jos van Der Pluijm, an architect famous in the 50s-70s for designing the typical slab-sided churches. I guess he made his house like his churches.

Very nicely done. I covet the terrazzo worktop.

In a bad storm the waves could be over your windows!
As for the "mid terrace" surely thats what you would have to tell the insurance company-fire risks on both sides

It's pretty sheltered in the Dart estuary. Plenty of water to fire fight though!

Whilst enjoying another week in the Lakes I've decided that this is definitely where I belong. I was particularly taken by the crystal clear River Brathay, so have decided that I'd like to buy this when my numbers come up: https://www.knightfrank.co.uk/properties/residenti...

Obviously the interior is hideous, but I could almost put up with it for the views of The Old Man in the distance (although just off to the right of the image below).
