Lovely place, with a nice mix of styles evidencing it’s evolution over the years. But the road.... frown

Indeed, right on the side of a dual carriageway, only an old wooden garage and... you'd need to be into medieval furniture and fittings unless the current owners are selling it complete with stags heads and suits of armour.

Which is presumably why it's been for sale for four years.

It's a shame.

Somewhere else around there it'd be,what, nigh on double that?

I'd like to submit this for consideration. We semi-seriously considered it, but it's a bit far from the office, and next to a noisy road. Quite wonderful though.

You could buy it speculatively, as IC engines become less common the road may become quieter.

My wife loved it (from the listing at least), but we've now bought somewhere new, 2 minutes' walk from a big common, no school, no shops, no through traffic, and most importantly we're the scum in the area.

Just waiting now for planning permission approval, and then the extension and refurb. I'd post some pictures of it but (a) it's teeny-tiny compared to most of the thread, and (b) it's hideous at the moment!

Looks like it's right on the Isle of Man road circuit A24?

This is quite nice, other than the whole place would have to be redecorated! Yuk. Nice garage...

It’s near Atlanta.

I like my body without bullet holes. Far enough away from the hood I suppose.

A curious one; I give you The Jungle near the village of Eagle, close to Lincoln.

Better suited to the nightmares thread, but seeing as I am replying to a post I thought I'd give it exposure here..

Both seem a little blighted by neighbouring properties. The first seems to have a massive warehouse on the boundary and the second a development of bungalows. Both lovely properties, but what's on the boundary would irritate.
Just going back to this one as I'm nearby; with the first there's also a caravan/traveller's(?) site to the west, probably 500 metres away which would put off some. As I'm sure you're aware Pesty, with that sort of money you could get something else similar around here without such issues.

What’s wrong with the first one? I can see why the second would divide opinions...but the land is awesome!

They’re horrible. No style or architectural finesse just (bad) pastiche, and the interiors are awful too..

She must have been drinking however. Budget mismatch.
