Imagine turning up there to do a survey eek You'd need very powerful binoculars. Wouldn't fancy having to do the pointing on it either, what with Fred Dibnah being dead.

Perhaps the current owner would take a cheeky offer given the background (from Wikipedia):

"In January 2011, it was announced that the tower had been compulsorily purchased by Tonbridge and Malling District Council; the council sold it to the Vivat Trust for £1. Restoration of the tower, including the replacement of the lantern commenced in February 2011, with completion then scheduled for September 2012. The project was funded by grants from English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund. The latter granted £2,000,000 of the estimated £4,000,000 restoration cost. After restoration, the tower offered holiday accommodation, with public exhibition space on the ground floor. On 24 February 2011, Hadlow Castle was transferred to the Vivat Trust.

The restoration was completed in February 2013, making it the tallest folly in the United Kingdom. In October 2013, the restoration of the tower was recognised when the Vivat Trust and the Save Hadlow Tower Action Group (SHTAG) won a Lloyd-Webber Angel Award. Work was completed on the interior; the exhibition centre in the tower was open on Thursdays from May to October. Visits are organised by SHTAG. In September 2014, it was shortlisted for the 2014 Kent Design Awards. Following the collapse of Vivat Trust, the tower was offered for sale in May 2016. In 2017 the tower was sold to a private individual for £425,000."

Based on a 2 min look, it's nice. Not far from me.
Angry log burner though....

I like that, price seems a little toppy based on my searches not far from there
Yep, it's nice but not £2.7m nice given that from there you should be able to hear both the A3 and the railway (regular trains to Waterloo, though).

A steal at 425. Possibly a nudge nudge wink wink sale.

Potential value. I'd change the house name though.

Looks like they couldn't decide which exterior finish they preferred, so tried a bit of everything.

I don’t know anything about building. Can you get thin bricks or fake limestone and basically cover the exterior so it all looks the same?

Bargain but looks like a money pit. I see a bit of damp/ leak as well in 1 pick.

You can get brick slips which would be a bit like tiling the outside of the building in brick... I don't know enough about building to know whether that's going to be possible or throw up a whole load of other problems though!

It isn't something I think very often, but a decent render would make that look miles better.

You can, but generally speaking they are pretty ghastly and in my experience always fail in some way.

The steps also look a little peculiar. Shame, must have been a lovely property at one time.

It 100% needs work and Ammanford is a bit of a st hole but if it goes close to guide you've got a lot of property for not much money and some amazing countryside and roads on your doorstep.
