I like this house, or at least the idea of it. A big ranch style house out in the wilderness in the US.

Or this one, some sort of ranch style hideout.

Now we are talking.

Often look at Montana, Wyoming and Colorado.

Those highlight how the pound has weakened against other currencies. That should make London properties more attractive to foreign investment but instead we are seeing a 20% reduction in sold prices.

Perhaps that conversation should saved for another topic.

I know we have had Cassillis House before. It’s still on the market having been bought 10 years ago and renovated. The owner will be lucky to get her purchase price back and will kiss goodbye to 4M quid. Ouch.

Admittedly, it's the other side of the world, but it does have great views

I'd go with 47,000 acres of Oregon - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/overseas-property/prop...

If the two closest towns to you are Plymouth and Tavistock then, yes, it is. wink
There’s always home delivery to avoid going to them smile (Waitrose mais naturellement).

Not an outlandish one here, but for the same price as a two bedroom flat in London, I quite fancy having my own dock and a lot more bedrooms. Commute would be tough though!

I like that, and whilst it's Norfolk, with all the good and bad that that brings, I could pay for it with the equity I have in our current abode and be mortgage free, and it's not too far into London... I only do that once, maybe twice a week, so a reasonable price to pay perhaps?

That is actually very, very tempting.

ETA - BTW, if your user name is your work location, you're very close to me in Gutter Lane

I'd missed that one. Very nicely done.

I love it, and as had ham alluded to, it's hugely reasonably priced compared to a city property.

Mosquitos though... I think they'd be a problem. That's pretty slow moving water.

King's Lynn is one of the lesser desirable places in Norfolk though, unfortunately.

That Norfolk house is utterly splendid, I wouldn't change a thing. Cracking value too.

Hunton Court, Kent. £12.5m - https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prop...

Has one of those virtual walkthroughs (click on the circles on the floor or use keyboard arrows, lookaround with RMB & mouse and zoom in & out with mouse wheel) - https://my.matterport.com/showcase-beta/?m=TERd5Dj...

It's quite a long way away from KL though.

A reasonably long London commute, drive, park, train, tube & reverse at the end of the day.

Nice property though.

Not knowing anything about the area, why is that so cheap? Relatively speaking, I mean.

I know nothing of Norfolk, but this is the view from the A10:

Still nice, but that glorious outside space is somewhat ruined.
