Not quite what you're asking for, but my 'place to escape' is the countryside surrounding where we live. I'd swap all the cinema rooms, fully kitted out garages, studies, etc. for a few miles hiking the stunning landscape (whatever the weather) with my hounds.

Absolutely get that. I am greedy and want both smile wherever we end up it will be in the countryside for that very reason... Shooting & golf are my two main outdoor pursuits and that will not be changing either!

My favourite room is my office which contains lots of boxes of stuff, shelves of books etc but it's where I happily watch YT videos or waste time online or occasionally get work done.
We’re so the same .. thumbup

Sounds excellent. Did you just hit balls into the screen? What about netting - I’d have though if you miss the screen - while experimenting with your grip or something - you’d have a ball pinging round in all directions which doesn’t sound very safe!
Yes, just hit balls into the screen - netting is safer but looks terrible!

The screen is 8ft wide so very difficult to miss from point blank range but you are right, its not safe. I bought various golf balls - from real golf balls to those little plastic practice balls. But a good in-between are the 'almost golf balls' which are the same size, weight and feel of a regular golf ball, but without the hard cover and interior material of a regular golf ball. So if you had a clubhead speed of say 110mph, a regular golf ball would have a ball speed of around 165mph whereas an almost golf ball would have a ball speed much lower.

Some of my swings were in the 115-118mph swing speed with a driver, so having a real golf ball in a 4 walled area travelling in excess of 170mph isn't the safest thing in the world to do. If having a few drinks and larking about - just using the little featherweight practice balls made sense - the other balls were not used when alchohol was involved, thats for sure!

Man cave in progress. Zero tech. Just a series of 'pottering' zones.

Hadn't seen this until now! This definitely warrants a man cave title. Very nice smile

it's pretty cool that your TVR is still in it's original wrapper.

That's what it is. The open parking gets a lot of dust off the fields and I'm also hoping it staved off any mouse invasion.

I have two daughters and a crazy wife. I'm pretty sure I will be living in the man cave for at least one week in every month in the future.
