Thanks I'll have a look.

Traditional wood doors with a Yale and a key operated dead lock.

The ground floor front has a secure internal porch so we are looking for something where we can remotely open the first front door so people can drop parcels and the like.

In my experience, this stuff gets overtaken by events so fast. A decade ago, a mate had some sort of install done, and the centre piece was the ability to pipe Sky all over the house, and it was terribly clever - and very expensive.

The downside is that the only people who watch TV in the house are him and his missus in the living room. His kids prefer iPads and headphones.
Agreed. A mate had a very expensive AV system installed some time ago. He could control video or music (from a media server or sky) to any screen or speaker in the house.

It was hugely expensive but could be achieved today with a few hundred pounds worth of smart speakers/Q boxes/Chromecasts

Hi - has anyone used / heard of Baulogic for home automation. Looking for something to control lights, gates, cctv, heating and maybe blinds and rooflights. Thanks.
