I've got these from costco (c£40) for a log store at the bottom of the garden. Been in place for about 10 months, and seems to be working well.

Gives a decent light for a solar/battery light

I’ve fitted 8 of these all along our wall and I’m very impressed.

For a pack of 4 they’re good value.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Security-Mpow-Wireless-Wa...

The sun needs to shine on them to keep them topped up but of course if the lights aren’t triggered very often the batteries stay full.

They light up like a runway when activated.

I fixed them up to the painted rendered wall using number plate sticky pads. Perfect. No damage to the wall!

The pads are also good for fixing to UPVC.

I sealed the backs up really well with gorilla tape before fitting just to make sure no water sneaks into the battery compartment.

I ordered a couple of Mr Beams MB392 from Amazon the other day after reading about them on here, and they arrived the next day!

I ordered the brown ones which to be honest almost look black. One is going in my garage for when I get home from work at night on my pushbike, and the other will be going outside to cover the driveway. Their light seems quite good for a battery power light, certainly good enough for me to see what i'm doing when trying to lock my bike away.

I have also just bought 4 of those and 2 ceiling lights as well (shed and loft). Use MB25 and you get 25% off.

Ive just installed one of my Mr Beams on my driveway to give me some light when I reverse onto my drive at night.

However, it would seem whilst the PIR is good at detecting motion crossing it from say left to right, it doesn't seem to be very good at detecting movement towards it. If someone walks past my driveway on the footpath then the light turns on. But if I drive onto my driveway towards the light then it doesn't activate.

I have these - batteries seem to last fine but they are for a side entry that gets used maybe once a week for the bins.

Absolutely no problems with them at all.

https://www.ledhut.co.uk/led-garden-outdoor-lights...

One of these under front canopy as per the picture in the link, one up, one down, look good. Nice light.

Then another two in the back garden. Makes finding the dog easy at night.

If people are interested, then I do have a trade account with LED Hut so more than happy to see what price I can negotiate if a few people want them.

I had a load of AA NiMh batteries and used some AA to C plastic adapters. They worked fine and the batteries lasted the whole winter - lights were on approach to house from garage

Ive had these for a few years now and when we moved house, they came with us! I think that I replace the batteries once a year, maybe more.

Have one pointed at each of the garage doors (roller and side) and one down the path at side of the house for when we put the bins out at night. All have been faultless for the three years we have had them

They were on an Amazon deal when I got them so really really cheap.

Considering getting a couple of the ultra bright spotlights. Can you turn them off? I can imagine it would be annoying if you were enjoying a late dinner or drinks in the garden and they keep going on and off every time you move. I already have mains powered lighting but wanted to get these more for security or lighting the garden when I just pop out briefly.

Ive got these out front: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01JFZKW6C/ref=asc_df_...

Actually just bought a second set to get some more light on the drive. Batteries lasted 12 months so far! Ok, nothing on a mains light, but no nasty cabling and enough light for most peoples needs, Im happy.

I had the Mr beams and it's pretty good for lighting up the garden but not really that great as a deterrent for Intruders as it's not really that bright.

I purchased m Mr Beams lights back in Jan 2018, and they are still on the same original batteries 9 months later.

I have some of the Osram Door LED outdor lights that run of 3AA batteries and the 10 led Mpow things.

Really like the door LED as you just stick them up, batteries have lasted a year so far and work well. The Mpow lights are above the garage, they keep being triggered by things going past so one goes flat during the winter as not ideal position. I had to use tape to mask the sensor to reduce range and it lasts through the winter, must do the other one.

I have two of these and they have been fitted for the last two months. So far so good, a decent light and although not in direct sunlight seem to charge enough to last the night (not too much activation though).
