In a small chain on 5 - solicitors seem to be working in 1984 - they send questions and then wait - if no answers are returned they don't follow up, just say "well, we sent stuff on xxx"

Frustrating!

Trying to exchange in the next couple of weeks to complete on 7th Sep. We're away for a couple of weeks so trying to get our solicitors to have the contracts ready to sign this week before we go so they can exchange while we're away - that seems like a tough ask, but we keep pushing

Currently in the process. Searches started on the 17th July but we now seem to running into lots of delays.

Not helped by our solicitor being economical with the truth, changing the dates on emails received from the sellers to hide their own delays in responding is the latest trick.

It's taken 18 days for natwest to get a valuation in grrrrr. Underwriters have signed it off on result on the valuation though which should be ok next tuesday) . Is this right would have it been approved pretty much at this stage. Natwest lady said no statements needed as i bank with them.

Local solicitor has been good so far and has a good reputation and fired about 30 questions off.
