How loud is your kettle that it wakes up your children?
I don't have a kettle, but the bare stone walls and flags the sound seems to travel.
You can afford a Quooker but not carpets and plaster?

Hot water taps - before I ask for one as my 50th birthday present (yes, I’m really that old this year & that sad!!) smile

I’ve done some research & thinking Quooker 3l Flex

We have a waste disposal under the sink already, so will it fit (50cm cupboard)?

We have to have a new tap (gravity fed hot water pressure is awful - have to run tap for 30m to get hot through) so this will do what I need for cleaning, cooking, tea & save water! It will also save on Brita filters.

Sparkling won’t be added as we use the Soda Stream when we need that.

Quooker do a combi tank that will blend the water just from a cold feed so you can has near instant warm to hot water from the mixer level. With a waste disposal in a 50cm sink its going to be very squeaky.....

Thanks again smile

I didn’t see a combi tank option, but would rather just have a 3l tank & mix my own smile

As I’m redoing the kitchen, I can extend the cabinet if needed, I’d just prefer not to laugh

Combi for sure, Quooker don't work very well on gravity systems, as for space you can measure for yourself if the boiler will fit in the cupboard, all depends what else you have in there.

This is the image our kitchen installer (Stuart Frazer in Manchester) sent us. Installation is in a 100cm base unit, and the 3L reservoir is on the left.

I’ve a 3 litre quooker and an insinkerator under the sink. Still room for the usual cleaning products around it and i dont recall much stress from the installer when he put it in.

Any chance of a photo. I’m thinking of doing the same

Looks like a stone grey kitchen? Maybe we should have a sweep on what the accessory is under the waste disposal unit is.....

The combi is used more in Europe as they don't always bother to run a domestic hot feed to the kitchen but it's available in the UK.

I was tempted to have a hold in the base of the unit and put the qooker cylinder into that - allowing for a small shelf at the top.
But opted for another solution and had a 'cover' made around it, and then a shelf across the half of the unit under.
If the plumbing and electrics can be done neatly, you might save some space - mine wasn't....

No fancy sparkling water either ....

Yeah, they are a SieMatic dealer. We chose Pebble Grey, it’s a bit warmer. No idea what that thing is under the waste disposal unit.

I am going to suggest that it is a contrivance for carrying bottles. Probably wine bottles.

We need more pictures of it, and a robust exchange of ideas. With testing.

Pebble Grey is a nice colour as well. The thing under the waste disposal is the extra glasses holder from your dishwasher that goes in the lower basket for extra glass washing capacity.
