We fitted Mira modes - two bath fillers and one shower and bath unit.

Sounds extravagant but actually, when you factor in how much proper taps/shower mixers cost, they are not much more. If renovating a bathroom (i.e. doing electrics and plumbing anyway), I'd say it's a not brainer.

I have yet to set them up for remote app control, but can confirm that they all work perfectly on physical control. They look pretty nice too - very sleek and pricey appearance! smile

Pics of a bath filler - this is the loft bathroom. Lack of tap makes the bath look pretty smart (although a nice floorstanding tap is a good look too). Things are not yet finished...

The party trick for the baths is that everyone can have their perfect bath (depth and temp) programmed. You just run the programme from your phone. I thought that this would be pretty handy when getting a bath ready for kids.

If you leave the plug in, you don't even have to be in the room to run your bath - hit the phone and it will tell you when it is ready.

Nice.

I have an Aqualisa Smart with loft-mounted pump. Everyone who uses it while visiting say it's one of the nicest showers they've used.

That waste filler is very large - too much so IMO. It sticks out miles! There are much slimmer versions available, for example:

True - but I liked the Burlington design as it works with the period bathrooms, and these were £80 instead of £400!

Actually at least one of the Miras came with a bath fillers: I'm guessing by accident. Free to any of you lot who want them and is happy to pay the postage (if I can find the damned things - by no means guaranteed)

Another pic - this one is the shower and bath version. This operates a hand shower, as this bathroom has a separate shower enclosure. Aim here is bathing kids.

Bathroom not finished (are they ever?) Including dealing with the floor. Those white wood planks look lovely, but are not splash practical...

And as for the splashback tiling - I know. But they are unique tiles and I can't get a replacement. Builder has been so good on everything else that I allowed him this fk-up.

For those with Aqualisa how have the controls fared ?

They seem to be lightweight coated plastic ?

Tapless how does that work then
Just press a button to turn on the water and a different pair of buttons to adjust the temperature and turn a dial to adjust the flow. The Mira units are really nice.

How you know what temp is right though or is it trial and error?

On the mira Platinum, the temperature is displayed on the dial. You just choose what temperature is comfortable for you and set it using the + and - buttons.

I fitted Aqualisa digital shower and bath units - the shower is 2 head so ceiling mount and wall and the bath is a separate system.

The hot top up function on the bath is brilliant and we have set all the shower presets which is pure joy. Digital = click and collect, Old system is shop around for the right thing..... Go digital.

Is that the secondary on/off switch directly underneath the main control? Were you not tempted to put it elsewhere on the room?
