I can recommend

I'd expect they'd cover your area.
Useful. I'm in Balsall Common, and not heard of these before, and will be looking at gates in the near future.

Assume you've used them before then? What set them apart from others; price, quality, service, etc? Thanks.

I have known the owner for over 30 yrs, he's a very decent and thorough person and in that time he has grown the business probably to 10x the size.

He's carried out a fair bit of work for me over the years as well as many friends - I cannot say there aren't better or cheaper available (as I've never looked) I can say there are a lot worse and more expensive.

It all depends on two things.

Hardware Used
Labour needed to fit them

There is a massive variance in price and the more expencive, quality ones are in-ground ones.

There are also a heap of 'elf n safety' around them now to prevent things, people and pets being crushed

Finally, If you have your pillars already then that can be hard work to dig down right nect to the pillar / posts to position the motor.

If you are less conserned about the look of the things, then on-gate arms should be a lot cheaper.

Look at FAAC and thier Frog range.

To me the prices look ok, but not fantastic.

Hello from Bourton on the Hill wavey

I’m going to need some automation on gates in due course so please post if you find a good solution.

I’ve had £5-7k mooted so far from various directions.

Simply pay extra pocket money or housekeeping to the family for manual opening !

Up in Chester but we paid 1500 last year with a 5 year guarantee.
Considering the Nice 1200 rams are over £1k on their own, that must be incredibly shoddy and have remotes and thats it. The fixed controllers are £200 on their own.
