To update this thread, with how I am getting on a couple of years later - it's been brilliant! It does scratch easier then expected, but no Tyre lifting, hot soapy water returns it look 'like new' and each year I just give it another coat (because I get it so cheap it'd be rude not to) and each year it looks better and better as I build up the layers over time. Really very pleased with it, but that first prep was hard work indeed!
Can I ask why product you used in the floor, I have been back through the thread and can see a lot about the grinder but not what paint you used.
p.s. Seems you were initially very disappointed but new delighted, what changed your thoughts on this?

It was johnsons water based 20mins packaging epoxy resin flooring.

Originally I was disappointed as it scratched quite easily, dragging my toolbox over the floor or any axle stand marked it quite easily.

What I did forget to add to my previous comment was... the original colour was a dark grey which allowes light scratches to show quite easily, I painted the over it (a 30min job)
with a much lighter grey. This hides the fine scratches much better!

Johnson described it to me quite accurately... Its like a black car. The paint work is durable, long lasting and resistant to problems.... But rub it off down aggressively with a brillo pad and you will mark it.

Ever since I choose the lighter colour it maintains the good luck much better!

Thanks - the light grey in your picture looks really good.

<clip> That's just the paint. I have already applied the 6 tins of resin...
I see on the Resincoat website they talk about the finish being non-slip yet your finish looks smooth, which I prefer. Is the non-slip element just added in (or left out) as required?
