Yes it’s a Shou Sugi Ban cedar, I love it and it was good fun to do too

Waney larch downstairs, the Torched Cedar upstairs, Cedar shingle roof, Balau decking and sapele windows, quite the wood palette

We only have one week to finish now, so its a mad dash to the end

Painter has finished, floorers are here today and the weekend, decking and cladding will be finished by Monday and then its just interior bits and bobs/snagging.

We are dog friendly!

Well behaved dogs only and we have a professional cleaning team who blitz it every check out, so no signs 🙂

Of the 4 full paid up bookings we have so far, 3 are with dogs, so obviously the demand for it!

I managed to convince Wayfair (https://www.wayfair.co.uk/) to completely furnish and interior design the whole treehouse, in return they will use the treehouse as a showcase for their wares and it will feature in their social, press and website.

We also have Trip Advisor onboard, so Wayfair and tripadvisor, with their combined 13 million social media followers will be launching the treehouse for us, they are also putting it out to the press, and we have some newspapers coming to stay and write about it/us

Yeh that’s the canopy and stars guys, they are very good but charge extortionate rates, may use them if we have too as they are very good, just gonna try and be organic as much as possible at first.

Well, that would be telling, but to be honest this was more of a lifestyle change decision than a business decision, we had the savings from a previous house investment/sale, wanted to stop the daily grind, start a family and live off the land, so the income from this, and soon to be another is doing exactly that
