Yes, I'm going to move to Agile the day before my current Go tariff ends. Hanging on to my 7p per kwh for car charging as long as possible. They didn't offer it to me, I emailed and asked about it and they just told me to sign up using a link. They only offered me standard variable or a new Go tariff at 12p off peak, 42p peak. Yeah, nah. So Agile it will have to be until prices start coming down properly and decent fixed tariffs are on offer again.
I’ve just been looking at recent Agile prices and it certainly seems to be the best of a bad bunch at the moment, so I think I’ll do something similar.

Are they still playing silly buggers with 6 months wait to get on to Tracker?
Sorry, don't know, didn't ask about Tracker.

Yes 6 months queue, 50-60 people a day being offered it.

That's pretty poor. They should either have the product available to everyone or no one - not be rationing it out.

Yes, I followed how it went at the time.

The way they have it now though has more than a touch of them having their cake and eating it too. They can claim to have this tariff on their books yet it is effectively unavailable.

But it was alway the way with tariffs they lasted a few weeks maybe a month for signups then once they had everyone they had costed for they would change the offering

Fair enough, but either the tariff is fully subscribed and therefore unavailable, or it is not. Where are these 50-60 spaces per day coming from?

We know the real reason is they don't want all their customers flocking to the Tracker rate when they have commitments to buy so much electricity at the Variable and Go rates.

I was lucky enough to switch my gas to Tracker from Variable a couple of months ago. I'm currently paying a little less than half per kw for gas than I would have been if I had stayed with the Variable.

Well, of course. What do you want them to do, be "fair" and go bust?

I was lucky to get on the Tracker as a result of this thread, month or 2 ago. I had no idea it would become a rare commodity.

It definitely makes a difference, bills have dropped and they have reduced my DD by 60 quid, at the same time the govt pull their help, so effectively 125 a month saving.

There are mutterings on the various facebook groups that the numbers for the last saving session are wrong. The rough formula is:

Take your usage from 4 hours before to 1 hour before. Divide it by 3 and minus the usage during the session to get the saving amount.

For the 15th using the formula above it is very close so all OK (numbers are kWh).

7.25 used in the gaming window (3 of the 4 hours before)
2.41 (above divided by 3)
.138 used in saving session
2.27 should be the 'saving'

Octopus show 2.36 so close enough.

For the 23rd its low for me using these workings.

5.67 used in the gaming window (3 of the 4 hours before)
1.89 (above divided by 3)
.136 used in saving session
1.754 should be the 'saving'

Octopus are showing a 1.40 saving for the 23rd which is 20% less than expected and also what others are reporting.

It looks like they’ve corrected this - I’ve just checked and an extra £6 worth of points has appeared on my account.

I am on Intelligent Octopus which is meant to follow wholesale costs but IO is currently 41.71p day and 10.00p 6 hours at night. Standing charge 53.96p. Just got an online quote for Flexible Octopus which shows unit rate 32.36p and no mention of cheaper night rate. Same standing charge as IO. Confused !

Me too. I don’t think the tariff shown above is a currently available one. I’d bite their hands off if it was.

As IO is also meant to follow wholesale costs I wonder why the rate never changes ?

Isn't flexible the standard tariff so it won't change as it's the capped rate set by the gov

I think with the talk of day and night rates it’s something to do with E7. Whatever it is, it’s nothing that’s available now.
