Everything ordered and in progress now, too late to change.

Interested in different types of UV oil though, any recommendations?

Reading with interest as my doors are 4yo and need a little tlc, anyone care to advise on how to proceed:

Ours are 3x + 3x so do need adjustment twice a year as the wood shrinks and grows (daylight visible between the two halves in summer, then they get hard to close in winter). Easy enough job though.

Having a last look around before I transfer due to the 11-13 week lead time....

ID systems use a Sunflex door, which is £5k for 2.7m wide, 3 pannel engineered oak finish

Google Reviews have some quite negative comments, which is putting me off a bit and the builder who doesn't want to use them and wants me to deal direct.... so I asked for his recommendation. This is Creative Doors Direct who deliver in 72 hours and cost 1/2 the price + a lot of good reviews online - any experience anyone?

Just tried Timber Windows and Doors also who have similar reviews to ID systems but similar doors were £7.5k

Hi All,

Progress is going well, foundations dug, bricks starting and walls being removed.

Windows will all be solid oak and the bi-fold will be engineered oak. Will give the lot a coat in a UV oil.

Onto floor tiles - we are having a wet floor heating so opted for tiles.

There are some great pictures on pinterest and houzz of the inside flooring flowing seamlessly to the paving. In the real world, I can't find anything that matches that I think will look good.

Has anyone done similar and has photo evidence?

Thanks
I can take a few better daytime shots tomorrow.
You need slot channel drainage in front of the doors like this stuff,

https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http%3A%2F%2F...

So you can get this look.
This is a house we've not long finished and not mine sadly.

For some reason i cannot get it the right way up? I've even tried turning to photo up side down and uploading it again but its still feckin wrong!
Looks great! Who makes those doors if you don’t mind me asking?

They're from Slimline Glazing.

Not cheep!
We fitted 3 sets at 4.2 x 2.3 of the SL20. The 20 stands for the frame width looking face on.
These were just under £40,000 including Vat.
They do an 18mm frame for quiet a bit more money, i think it was an extra £5-7000.
Great product but the after sales service 'aint all that.

Ah ok. Well maybe not for me then.

I thought these things had become significantly cheaper. But I had quotes similar to that when I did my place in 2013. No regrets with going for the standard aluminium options then!!

Thanks though!
