Any recommendations for a Mitre Saw for an amateur?

I'm going to tackle the skirting in our kitchen refurb, and I'm confident I can do it, but I need to buy a Mitre Saw - help!
I just need something fit for purpose and not OTT.

Thanks
Bought an Evolution Rage 210 sliding mitre saw last year for exactly the same reason - having never (successfully) done anything like that before. Looking at my kitchen now I still can’t believe how well it turned out - but I recommend you get a stand for it as well.
Even if I never use the saw again it’s more than paid for itself.

Echo this. Bought a mitre saw today to do the bathroom skirting - any DIY is a challenge as I have an equal amount of skill and patience. Worth the (not great) expense in time saved and not having to pee about with a block and saw.

Centipede K200. Not sure why these devices do not seem to have caught-on. Supposed to support 3000 lbs, but I'm not that heavy! Mine was purchased in 2017 for £95 and is regularly used. Takes a few moments to stretch out, throw an 8x4 sheet of OSB on top, and there you have an instant workbench. I find it especially useful for cutting up 8x4's with a track saw. When job is finished, it takes up very little room.

Any suggestions for impact driver bits that won't disintegrate after a handful of screws?

Possibly due to poor advertising - I've never seen nor heard of them

So where does one buy such a device. Amazon only seems to list USA import ones.

I don't think I would put 3000lbs/1400kg on that.....

I got mine from UKtoolbox.com item, number 649692, which they do not seem to list now. About a year later, the K200 was shown at £89.95 reduced from (allegedly) £316.80 on their site. Perhaps End-of-line? Prior to buying mine, I had also not seen it advertised anywhere, but it looked too good to miss. wink

I just ordered one, albeit a smaller size, from this german site https://www.sautershop.com/

looks to be just what I'm after as my old workmate type thing is too small and takes up too much space in my workshop/shed

Stanley Junior Saw Horse

Span two lengths of suitably sized timber between them (using the cut outs), and a sheet of plywood for a mobile workbench.

These are excellent, I got mine in a sale for about 20 quid and I've used them so much. They make painting doors a lot easier!
