Loving the advert:
- non-safety trousers
- plimsolls
- loose hanging drawstring from trousers
- foot on branch, on piece of wood, on plastic box

what could possibly go wrong - and we have not even started to question the safety of the device itself biggrin
Safety last when you can't be fked.

I particularly like the lack of guard between your fingers on the handle and the blade, and the way the drill isn't braced to the saw so when you're running it it's going to twist and kick all over the place.

Perfect gift for someone you don't like.

I was amazed at the thickness it will cut. I zip tie the safety lever for that extra one handed reach when up the ladder doing the tops paperbag

And tank tape it on a broom handle for even more reach?

And put a stool on the top rung of the ladder for extra height, standing on one leg, tiptoes.

Where did you get those red and grey storage caddies?
I've got one that I bought from IKEA over 20years ago and would love some more, but I've nott seen them anywhere again since.
Unfortunately they are surplus laboratory equipment from some 20 yrs ago and no longer appear to be available when I've looked just recently.

Shame as its very handy to just be able to grab the long [red] pivoting handle on the top and carry it to where you're working.

On the off chance that your Google-fu is better than mine they are Perstorp Plastic Systems / Arca System 9050.
Close, but no carry handle

Would something like Milwaukee pack out organisers not work for you if not?

ETA, found them page 5

It would appear that they are now out of production. I got a very nice email from the sales director at Storage Design to say he’d not seen them in many years and that the name of the manufacturing company had changed twice in the time since the catalogue you linked to had been published.

I think my only hope may be to ask the family of 5s Alive to let me have first dibs at his when he eventually shuffles off and his username has to be changed biggrin

Anyone have any recommendations for a 1/4" socket set?
I'm currently looking at Bahco and Gedore Red as possibles but be good to have some recommendations,
I have a couple of 1/4” socket sets. The good old Halfords Professional one which I got years ago, and a newer Draper Expert set. The Draper set (number 16469) is actually really nice, proper metal box and perfectly cut foam insert for every tool, and the whole thing feels really good to use. Their Expert range is a big uplift from their standard range, and a different planet from their crappy Red range. Both Halfords and Draper are very nice sets of tools.

The strimmer is good, better if you get an adapter to use a solid cutter instead of reel though

Halfords impact driver. £15, and for that it’s pretty well made and solid

If you don’t have one then do yourself a favour and get on because it will get you out of a hole. They are brilliant for undoing the annoying always a bit seized brake disc retaining screws for example.

They can be used with the supplied bits and also the end comes off and you can use it with 1/2” drive sockets.
I bought one of these years and years ago when I was taking a Mini to bits. It came in incredibly useful when I renovated our house, because all the radiators came with some silly bung in them that only the massive cross-head bits that come with that would touch.

I have the DeWalt XR cordless garden strimmer as it’s the battery system I have.

It’s decent but the spool is crap and I have to constantly stop to manually feed out the line. The auto feed just doesn’t function as it should.

Does anyone know if you can buy a solid blade for it instead?

Yes you can I think they're called brush cutters on Amazon.

Also worth every penny but make sure you get a twin battery version. I have a patch of rough ground left to do so i'll take a short video later of what it can tackle with just one set of 5A batteries.
