Landlord ignoring rental deposit return request

Just a quick update for those that have previously asked.

I can't find an actual signed contract in the bundle of papers I have. I do have a letter from the landlord referring to an AST that was signed.

Perhaps your next letter should include a copy of the referal to an AST & then point out the penalties for the landlord not using a deposit protection scheme. Then offer a choice between the immediate return of the deposit or you'll be forced to refer the matter to the court. There's a template letter on the Shelter website linked to above.

A quick update. As we all like updates

The end result been was a cheque in the post last week, that has now cleared.
