Hi,

Just pulled down a ceiling and want to treat wood for dry rot and worms. Bit of dry rot present no real evidence of worms. Anyone know best product to use?

Thanks!

For worm I usually just spray with Ronseal multi-purpose wood treatment.

Not sure about dry rot though. That can get nasty.

If no worms are present, and haven’t been in the past, then I’d very much doubt they would make an apperanace now. Dry rot is more of a worry, but if the source of damp is no longer present then that’s a good start, if you you want peace of mind wack some 5 star on it.

A photo of the wood would be helpful, you won't fix active dry rot with a bit of fluid.

I only ask as the treatment for dry rot needs more consideration than the more common wet rot.

You can make a dry rot outbreak significantly worse if treated incorrectly.
