Does the base have legs on it? Halls?.
It is Halls, but not sure on the legs. There is some form of anchor though I think. I’m thinking probably use that matting that stops the weeds growing through on the grass and then laying slabs on that. Outside the greenhouse the grass will be killed off and replaced with slate chippings. There’ll also be a raised bed in front of the greenhouse. It sits partially on an existing patio and partially on artificial grass so i made a timber frame to get a level across the two surfaces and sat the greenhouse base on that. Bit of hacksaw action to cut the base strips to size, jobs a goodun.

My sweetcorn has what looks like mould on top.
I assume this means I've been keeping it too warm and moist?
I don't know the answer, but it isn't warm and moist as that is exactly what you do need. They should be covered over individually though with glass or some cling film.I assume this means I've been keeping it too warm and moist?
It's probably something in the compost, what is it? I don't think it's a real worry.
Update - week 6.
Melons, tomatoes version 2, cucumbers version 2, peppers beetroot and salad onions doing ok. Cucumbers are ready to go in to their final pots I think. Probably the melons too. Toms won't be far away. Peppers it says on the packet to plant 60cm apart!! this could be tricky - I was hoping to put them in a trough but the trough isn't big enough, so may have to pot them individually. Is it ok to do that?
Big lesson learned so far - you're not supposed to plant all the seeds in the packet. I figured on some failures but given how the cucumbers and melons are looking so far, and given the greenhouse is only 6x4, I've got a problem.
I bought little starter strawberry plants a couple of weeks ago and one is starting to flower so I've potted them on today. Garlic seems to be doing ok and I've been acclimatising it to the patio every day for the last week.
Sweetcorn has failed - three week and no shoots at all. Not sure why - maybe too wet in the propagator? Anything I've started in those fibre pots has failed, I've had no luck with them at all so will stick to trays and plastic pots.
Any recommendations for compost for potting on? Think I'm going to busy next weekend.

That aside what exactly are you talking about? The yellowing leaves? If it is and they are old it's common for them to be jettisoned and new ones take over.
Yes the yellow leaves. They're not old, I planted the seeds a month or so ago.48K Senior says I've over watered them so I will check the drainage and back off the watering a bit and see how they get on.
Went to Madrid for 4 days. Came home to Day of the Triffids
I wasn't expecting everything to grow. I planted all the seeds expecting quite a few failures. 6'4' greenhouse is not big enough
The trouble I've got is that the biggest plants are the ones that need to stay in the greenhouse.
The tomatoes are Tumbling Toms - can they go outside?
Also do I need to truss up the cucumbers somehow so that the weight of the cucumbers doesn't break the plants?

Out of interest, those of you with Halls greenhouses - my folks had them in the past, and they were good quality. I bought them one for their new house a couple of years back, and though the frame and glass were fine. they appeared to have changed their fixtures supplier because the bolts/screws were apparently made of cheese. Bad batch, the old man has got ham-fisted in his old age, or all like that now?
I am perfectly happy with mine though as a greenhouse noob I have no idea if the quality is any different to how they used to be.I do know that having put together the slatted staging with the raised shelf I am in absolutely no hurry to see any of those little bstard bolts and screws or try to slide them in to channels ever again.
There's some useful advice and tips about greenhouse ventilation here - https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=732
Interesting that it says that smaller greenhouses are harder to ventilate due to the higher glass-to-floor ratio. We've had a few days recently where I've really struggled to keep the temperature down on mine. I think I need to look at some shading options or maybe take a couple of panes out when the hot weather comes back.

Let's get 2021 underway folks!
I had a spring clean last week
Hoovered out and washed with Jayes fluid. First lot of seeds arrived in the post during the week, got some more on the way plus some chitted potatos.
Starting planning the planting for the outdoor beds. Geek alert:
I've also bought a hot compost bin and have started to get that underway.
So what have you done so far and what are your plans for this year? Anything you're going to try new?
