Going to be watching my greenhouse this year for over-crowding - last year I had tons of mold over all my toms, and that spread to my peppers and cucumbers. May I ask what others have done to anti-mold clean their greenhouses?

Ive also managed to full my raised beds in the greenhouse with pure organic compost, so have 200 liters of perlite to mix into that - yes, I will have to really monitor moisture levels this year. Also planning less toms in there, as well as some others, still to be decided.

I should add I will be a few weeks behind others, being in NE Scotland, its still mighty cold up here!
How large is your GH? I had some mold trouble last year and put it down to the fact that I have trouble with ventilation as my GH is so small. I may end up taking a pane of glass out this year if things get bad again.

Where did you get that metal shelf from, looks really good from a planting point of view!
The slatted staging came with the greenhouse from Halls, the metal shelving was was from Two Wests and Elliot.

Crazy wife is way ahead with plants! She bought a grow light and heat mats...

This is a small selection waiting for space in the greenhouse as loads of stuff is overwintering in it.

However it is clean and I've managed to lift the frame off the footings so the door works. When it was built the sides were placed on wooden battens that have rotted. I got a bag* of plastic 10mm spacers to use instead.

*Failing to spot there were 200 of them! hehe

I fear my kitchen will be looking like your photo after next weekend.

the door from the greenhouse came away today. Seems that the plastic rollers on the top have disintegrated so unable to measure the size of them.

Does anybody know if there are a standard size item and easy to get hold of?
Do you know the make and model of your greenhouse? I had the same problem last year and just bought replacement parts online.

Hello 2023 greenhousers! shout

Has anyone fired theres up yet or considered doing so?

Mine needs a bit of TLC, probably a job for this weekend.

Will dig out the heater and get that set up. My Govee thermometer also needs a new battery. I've got a first set of tomato seeds that I will start off indoors that will probably go out to the greenhouse at the beginning of next month. Will probably end up doing cucumbers again, and that will probably be my lot for the greenhouse as it is only small.

Share your plans!

Tomatoes moved to the greenhouse from the kitchen today. Two varieties - one cherry one beef. It was 25c in there at lunchtime. Not bad considering the storm we had this morning.

Got to get some cucumbers and peppers underway. Might try melon this year too.

How is everyone else getting on?

Are you taking your toms back in your home at night?

I personally wouldn’t leave them out until mid-late May when they’re a lot bigger and the night time temperature is higher, we can still get a good frost until late May.

Or you have a heated greenhouse.

ETA. Toms are going well, my annuals (calendulas, marigolds) are all up, sunflowers are going well, just got to sow spring onions in my raised bed in a few weeks, that’s it for me this year.

They've been out there for a few days now but tonight/tomorrow will be the first time they will have seen a frost (if it happens). I'll put there heater in there if the weather is going to stay cold overnight this week.
