Neither have I.

The last company I was with (Sainsburys - ste they were) kept on ringing me up about one and I kept saying no. In the end I had to tell them to stop ringing me. They said they would make a note on my file that I was not interested in one and to be fair they never rang again.

Bulb seem one of the recent success stories it is just they are still substantially more than my current fixed rate from Breeze.

Whether that will change come the end of the fixed deal will be interesting to see.

Had that all the time with Scottish Power. I just blocked the 4 numbers they use to ring you on.

Bulb offered me a smart meter but my gas meter is unsuitable as it’s ground level?

I had the same from SP + texts. One of the texts said to reply "NO" if you don't want a smart meter.

I did that so then they sent me a link wanting me to explain why I didn't want a meter!

I ignored that so they started sending me text reminders.

I got my number takes off their marketing list, which worked for a month or so, but then I started getting calls at home again.

I blocked their numbers and changed to bulb.

Last night they called me twice on a different number wanting to know if I would come back for a cheaper deal. I declined.

Just got another call from the same number, so i've just blocked that number and hopefully they will get the idea!

Another code for A shared £150 here: www.bulb.me/guy166

Moving supplier is totally painless nowadays, and loyalty clearly does not pay when buying utilities - there are big savings to be made...

Just out of interest has anyone looked at their accounts.

For year ending 31st March 2018 (latest accounts available), they made a loss of £24m on turnover of £184m!

Before anyone starts calling it a success story, lets see if the company is still around in 5 years. Their strategy of buying business is an odd one, and at some point they will have to raise prices to cover it. I suspect at that point, when prices do go up and people leave, their model will be very exposed.

No complaints here. Yes they have had a few price rises in 2008 but also a price reduction this year. Their (phone) app works very well and is a doddle to use and understand - I just send them a reading every 3 months and all info / usage / costs are easy to find within their app. I think Bulb will be around for a long time - they seem to keep their customers longer than most suppliers.

Link below for £75 each. That's a free tank of fuel biggrin

Just had the Bulb smart meter fitted. Siemens engineer came, took about an hour, zero faff.

My old Geo clamp meter can go on ebay now. smile Decent bit of kit, but like most of the clamp units it's slow and doesn't work well on low wattage readings. The bulb meter is a Chameleon one with enough battery life and range that you can walk around the house switching stuff on and off to see the difference.

https://chameleontechnology.co.uk/

We're still on the regular tariff. We cook with electricity, and the peak hours penalty looks so extreme that I don't see the other savings ever compensating for it.

Referral code expiring on 31st July... www.bulb.me/roddy5877

Yes indeed.

It turns out if you turn all your lights off at night, turn your heating off, unplug you PC, laptop, phone and don't turn your cooker on you can reduce your electricity bill to zero.

The only down side is that you can't see, you can't use your PC, laptop or phone and you have to eat raw food...

Very good !!

But I'm sure their are some suppliers with tariffs that don't have a standing charge.
