The app for me doesn't go further than this page
I updated, reopened the app and it's on the same update page, I press update and it goes to the Google store page where it's already updated. I tried downloading the Octopus app and using my Bulb email and password, and it's not recognised. So I did my meter readings on the Bulb website .
Exact same issue here . Saying that ,it's probably short lived before moving to the octopus app.
Just having my leccy and gas Bulb smart meters installed as I type. I did ask him about the whole bulb/ octopus thing, he works for siemens on contract.
He has many smart meters to instal for bulb, they haven't slowed it down at all even after they've gone bust and Octopus is taking over.

Got my email today - been moved to Octopus. Followed the link in the email to set a username and password and I'm straight into Octopus with my billing history and credit all showing correctly. Totally painless.
Sounds promising…How does the app compare to Bulb ?
The website has very similar functionality to Bulb and easy to navigate around. In some ways a bit more intuitive.
No migration for me yet.. my predicted bills have been wrong since the house move in May so instead of migration I have received an email advising me my monthlies were being increased (more than doubled and higher than either dec or Jans bill total) from 1st of March: I'm in credit and I can't undo it in the app!
I have advised them that I will start charging interest on the balance from 1st March if they attempt to adjust the payment amount without my agreement; this will be charged at the rate of inflation +5.9%. They need to email me to set up the direct debit and for a the full list of fees including the monthly standing fee for providing a loan facility should they wish to proceed. I assume it is an automated system thing, customer service has always been quite good when I've managed to speak to a human. Looking forward to their response LOL; contractually I don't have a leg to stand on obviously.
Hopefully octopus will provide a better service when I get there.
Regrading comments on the app earlier in the thread: it seems to has stopped working on iOS for me but is still working on android.

There was a notification on the smart meter today "welcome to Octopus". I managed to enter a new DD amount (not that it changed on the summary screen - so will check back over the next couple of days). first impression is it seems functional but that the design of the octopus app is challenging - who signed off that colour scheme? it looks like they have taken their inspiration from a really st nightclub.

Just got an email from Bulb saying they are increasing my DD from £75 to £140 because my current DD won't cover the new power prices. Went on to the website to reduce it down to something sensible but it won't let me reduce it!
They have just increased my £32 to £40. Was on £105 before the £67 freebie. Going to notice it when that ends. WyrleyD said:

I'm guessing you were in credit by a large amount prior to these price rises kicking off?dickymint said:
